Waitomo Limestone Feature Rocks.

Millions of years ago, Waitomo was covered by sea. Gradually layers of shell were crushed and pressed together until finally after millions of years as the sea receded the shells hardened into rock known as Limestone.

Thus Waitomo has been left with a unique landscape featuring limestone rock and caves. Shell fossils can still be clearly seen in some of the rock.

The Limestone rocks we sell are harvested in Waitomo and selected for their unique shape as feature rocks. They vary in size from 100kg to 3000kg.

The colour of the rock can be from a bright white to grays. These rocks are weathered but can be washed to restore their existing colour.

Limestone Rock is used to enhance many local gardens and businesses. They will always draw comments on their beauty and form.

These large feature rocks will make an exciting addition to your garden or business.
